Celebrating the Ordination of Luca Daniel Welch

Taos First Baptist Church is pleased to announce the ordination of Luca Daniel Welch to the gospel ministry on Sunday, July 26, 2026, during the 10:45 a.m. worship service. A fellowship lunch will follow, and friends are warmly invited to attend.

Luca has faithfully served as the ministry intern at Taos First Baptist Church since September 2024. During that time, he has become an integral part of the life and ministry of our church. Whether teaching, studying, assisting in church leadership, or serving behind the scenes, Luca has consistently demonstrated a love for the Scriptures, a servant's heart, and a commitment to handling the Word of God carefully and faithfully.

Following his ordination, Luca will be moving to Vermont, where he and Juna Segal will be married on August 8, 2026. While we will certainly miss his daily presence at Taos First Baptist Church, we rejoice to see the Lord opening this next chapter of ministry and family life.

During his internship, Luca has also established himself as a thoughtful author. He has written three books through Dispensational Publishing House:

• The Triune Nature of God and Man
• The Judgment Seat of Christ
• Hell: The Waiting Place of the Dead

These works reflect his desire to encourage believers through careful, text-driven Bible study and sound doctrine.

Ordination is not the beginning of a man's calling, but rather the church's public recognition of God's work in a life already devoted to ministry. We are grateful for the opportunity to affirm Luca's gifts, character, and commitment to preaching and teaching the Word of God.

We invite family, friends, former classmates, ministry partners, and all who have encouraged Luca along the way to join us for this special service of worship, prayer, and ordination.

We look forward with great anticipation to the ministry the Lord has prepared for Luca and Juna in the years ahead, and we thank God for allowing Taos First Baptist Church to play a small part in that journey.
