Over the past few Christmas seasons, Taos FBC has been blessed to be able to reach out to some of the less fortunate families in our community, and to provide for them some holiday cheer.
This ministry has been a wonderful opportunity for outreach in the Taos community, to present the Church and her message to those who would otherwise have little or no exposure to the Gospel of Christ. It is also a chance for our local church body to have a real and meaningful impact for good on the lives of those around us, and has been born fruit in seeing several children come to learn about and know their Lord, Jesus Christ.
This year, we will be focusing mostly on one young family of four, whose children have been involved in Taos FBC’s AWANA ministry in prior years. We are glad for an opportunity to continue to build the relationship with this family, and to minister to them in this way.
Andrew is four years old. He needs a pair of winter boots in size 11; clothes for Andrew should be in size 5T. He would also enjoy boy’s toys, and especially likes to play with legos. His sister Talia is six years old, and also needs a pair of size 11 boots; her clothing size is 5-girls. She likes art supplies and other age-appropriate girl’s gifts. Their parents are a young couple in their 20’s. Dad wears medium clothes, mom wears small.
Gift cards are welcome, and we will also be taking cash donations towards a Christmas dinner for the family.
Church members, check in at this facebook group discussion for updates on what is needed, and what has already been provided. Thank you all for your participation in and support of this ministry opportunity!
